Developer Dashboard Overview
The Developer Dashboard is your central command center for monetizing your 3D environments. It is designed to be highly action-oriented, giving you the tools to quickly list your in-game geometry on our programmatic marketplace.
1. The Games List
When you first log in, you will be presented with your Games List.
- To start monetizing, click Add Game.
- You must provide the Title, Genre, and Platform (e.g., PC, Mobile, VR).
- Once a game is created, it will appear in your ledger. Click on the game to access its dedicated Placement Generator.
2. The Placement Generator
A Placement represents a specific, monetizable piece of 3D geometry in your game (e.g., a billboard on a highway, a poster in a subway station).
To expose this geometry to brand bidding, you must generate a Placement ID:
- Navigate to a Game in your dashboard.
- In the Create Placement dialog, provide a descriptive name (e.g., "Main Menu Jumbotron").
- Select Format: Choose the physical behavior of the ad (e.g., 2D Surface Decal, 3D Mesh Replacement).
- Select Prominence: Define how visible this placement is to the player (e.g., Ambient Background vs. Primary Focal Point).
- Set Minimum Bid: Set the absolute minimum CPM (Cost Per Mille) you are willing to accept for this placement. If no brand meets this floor, the placement will fallback to your default offline textures.
- Provide a Design Template: For 2D placements (Billboard, Vertical, Square), you must provide a geometric reference for Brands to design against. You can either:
- Upload Custom Template: Upload a physical PSD/PNG file of your UV map.
- Generate Auto-Template: Use the in-browser Dynamic Template Generator. Input your free-form pixel dimensions (e.g.,
2048x2048) and the number of rows/columns. The dashboard will automatically synthesize a mathematically perfect PNG atlas grid and attach it to your placement—no Photoshop required!
- Click Create Placement.
The system will instantly generate a unique Placement ID. You will copy this ID and paste it into the Unity SDK.
3. Active Placements Ledger
The Active Placements Ledger displays all the geometry you have exposed to the marketplace.
- Marketplace Activation: A new placement will not appear in the public marketplace immediately. It must successfully register 100 impressions through the SDK before its status is upgraded to "Live". This ensures the geometry is reachable and functioning properly before allowing brands to bid.
- You can monitor the status of your placements, edit their minimum bid floors, or temporarily lock them if you need to perform game maintenance.
- Deleting a placement will instantly sever its connection to the Edge Node network, permanently stopping all programmatic bids for that specific piece of geometry.
