Auction Dynamics & Delivery
WireSyndicate operates a highly-optimized Edge Node delivery system designed to connect Brands with game Developers in real-time. To maintain fairness, predictability, and performance, our programmatic delivery runs on a Sealed-Bid Waterfall mechanism.
How the Waterfall Works
When a player enters a spatial environment (like walking past an in-game billboard), the WireSyndicate SDK pings our global Edge Node network.
- Instant Evaluation: The Edge Node instantly evaluates all active brand campaigns targeting that specific placement format.
- Auction Resolution: The system selects the winner based on two factors: Priority Tier and CPM Bid.
- Seamless Delivery: The winning brand's Dynamic Texture is instantly delivered to the game client and rendered onto the developer's 3D object.
This entire process happens in milliseconds, ensuring zero interruption to the player's gameplay experience.
Priority Tiers
To give brands control over their delivery frequency, and to ensure developers always have inventory to display, our ecosystem is segmented into three Priority Tiers. Higher tiers will always outbid lower tiers, regardless of the CPM price.
1. Premium Delivery (P1)
Best for: High-impact, time-sensitive brand campaigns.
- P1 campaigns are evaluated first. If multiple P1 campaigns are competing for the same placement, the highest CPM bid wins.
- Brands utilizing P1 enjoy guaranteed first-look access to premium gaming inventory.
2. Standard Delivery (P2)
Best for: Ongoing, sustained brand awareness.
- P2 campaigns only compete for inventory if there are no active P1 campaigns bidding on that specific placement.
- This tier offers a highly cost-effective way to maintain a persistent presence in-game.
3. Remnant Backfill (P3)
Best for: Developers ensuring 100% fill rates.
- P3 acts as the foundational backfill. If there are no active P1 or P2 campaigns, the Edge Node will fall back to P3 inventory.
- P3 often contains "House Ads" (cross-promotions for the developer's other games) or highly discounted, broad-reach brand campaigns.
Campaign Budgets & Lifecycles
Unlike traditional live-managed auctions, brand campaigns are completely automated. Brands define their parameters upfront, and our Edge Nodes handle the rest.
- Daily Velocity Cap: Every campaign runs on a strict daily budget. Once a brand's ads are viewed enough times to exhaust their daily cap, their campaign is instantly paused. It will automatically reactivate the next day.
- Campaign Completion: The campaign continues to run day-over-day until the Total Maximum Budget is reached, at which point the campaign completely concludes.
By relying on Daily Velocity Caps, our Edge Nodes ensure that a single brand cannot monopolize a game's placements, guaranteeing diverse, engaging environments for players.
